LABORATORY CAPABILITIES

I&E Calibration Laboratory, located at I&E main office, can cater most of all industrial field instruments. A quality management system is in place to handle your calibration requirement.

Procedures and work instructions are specifically design to handle calibration of various instrument for various type of operation, may it be for process operation or even custody transfer requirements.

We accept Calibration of any type of field instrument for level, pressure, flow, temperature. I&E is also accredited in calibration  of gas density transducer.

I&E Proving Facility

Gravimetric proving method is one among the most commonly practiced methods of proving either mass or volume based flow meter. This method is preferred when calibrating flow meters since mass is a primary unit of measure. Gravimetric method involves the use of a precision weighing system whose uncertainty is determined using mass working standard, carried out at static condition and using water as calibrating medium. In case of volume based measurement, as long as density is known, measured mass can easily be converted to volume by dividing mass with density.
The calibration is carried out by running a meter with a steady flow at various rates normally at 10%, 50% and 90% of the meter’s calibration range. The fluid being measured is collected in an open vessel and weigh in a precision weighing system and the measured mass is then compared to the mass indicated by the Unit Under Test (UUT).

I&E Proving Facility is the first flow meter calibration facility in the Philippines and the first accredited calibration laboratory covering this scope by the Philippine Accreditation Office. It has been serving Industries nationwide since 2003.

Our calibration facility has been accepted by most of oil and gas manufacturing industries.  We can accommodate any type of flow meter from sizes of 1" dia to 8" diameter flow meter and a flow capacity of up to 10,000 kg/hr.

Liquid density meter proving can also be done at I&E Proving facility, with the applied method for continuous density measurement using pycnometer .
